Job Description: 1. Fabric Receipt & Inspection Receive fabrics as per Purchase Order (PO) and challan. Check fabric quality, GSM, shade, width, defects, shrinkage, hand feel, and color variation. Conduct 4-point inspection system and prepare inspection reports. Verify lot, roll, and supplier details. 2. Fabric Storage & Handling Maintain proper storage, rack arrangement, and labeling of each roll. Ensure correct lot segregation to avoid shade mixing. Monitor storage conditions to avoid fabric damage (humidity, dust, pests). 3. Fabric Issuance to Cutting Issue fabric based on cutting plan, marker efficiency, and production schedule. Track roll-wise consumption and returns. Coordinate with cutting in-charge to ensure timely supply. 4. Documentation & System Entries Maintain inward/outward registers (manual or ERP). Update GRN, roll details, lot reports, and shortage/extra reports. Prepare daily/weekly fabric stock reports. 5. Coordination Work with Merchandisers for fabric approvals & shortages. Coordinate with Purchase for reorder requirements. Connect with Quality Team for fabric test reports & approvals. 6. Stock Management Conduct monthly stock audits. Maintain real-time stock availability. Identify leftover and dead stock and report to management. 7. Vendor & Supplier Follow-Up Follow up for pending fabric deliveries. Raise claims for fabric defects, shortages, or mismatch lots. Required Skills Fabric knowledge (knits/wovens, blends, GSM, dyeing, washing). Knowledge of 4-point inspection system. Strong coordination and communication skills. Basic computer & ERP entry skills. Stock management and problem-solving abilities. Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Textile / Fashion / Garment Technology (preferred). 3–7 years of experience in Fabric Store / Fabric Management. Experience in apparel manufacturing units (Tirupur preferred).
